Welcome to Our 13th Annual Celebration of Story, Music, and Magic

Join us from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th November 2026 for a memorable weekend celebrating the rich traditions of storytelling, folklore, music, theatre, and community in one of Ireland’s most beautiful villages. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Ring of Kerry, our festival brings together master storytellers, folklore experts, musicians, and performers for a weekend packed with tales, tunes, and community spirit.

This Year’s Highlights Include:

  • Enjoy performances and storytelling sessions with acclaimed guests including Órla Mc Govern, Paddy O’Brien, Killian Burns, Cillian Brennan, and Dr. Senem Donatan Mohan.
  • Special Guest Lectures: Explore local history, folklore, and culture with fascinating talks from Frank Lewis and Jerry O’Grady, including insights into South West Kerry traditions and the legacy of Batt Burns.
  • Family-Friendly Fun: Children can discover the magic of stories through dedicated storytelling sessions and performances designed to spark imagination and creativity.
  • Music & Choral Performances: Experience an uplifting afternoon with the South Kerry Rosen Choir at St Michael’s Church, accompanied by Tatiana Budzen and directed by Brad Dicks.
  • Theatre & Live Performance: Enjoy an evening performance of The Love Hungry Farmer by J.B. Keane, adapted and performed by Seamus O’Rourke in a production directed by Michael Scott.
  • Traditional Story Swaps & Fireside Sessions: Join the ever-popular Story Swaps, Storytelling Club, and Murphy’s Loft Sessions where stories, songs, laughter, and memories are shared in true Irish tradition.
