Welcome to Our 12th Annual Celebration of Story, Music, and Magic
Join us from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th November 2025 for the 12th Sneem International Storytelling & Folklore Festival in association with Skellig Six 18 Distillery – a warm, lively celebration of Ireland’s oldest traditions. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Ring of Kerry, our festival brings together master storytellers, folklore experts, musicians, and performers for a weekend packed with tales, tunes, and community spirit.
This Year’s Highlights Include:
- International Storytellers: Hear stories from renowned voices like Cath Little, Dominic Bennett, Frances Kennedy, Maria Gillen, Paddy O’Brien, and Killian Burns (Kerry).
- Special Guest Lectures: Don’t miss Dr Tomás Mac Conmara, a leading Irish oral historian and RTÉ contributor, exploring Irish memory, revolution, and folklore.
- Vinnie Hyland: A unique insight into Sneem’s natural world and curious local wildlife.
- Family-Friendly Fun: Let little ones’ big imaginations run wild at the children’s storytelling sessions.
- Live Music & Theatre: The South Kerry Rosen Choir will enchant audiences at St Michael’s Church, while Hubcap Theatre’s “Mary’s Hopes and Dreams” brings rural comedy to the stage.
